OUR STORY

Asanteworld is a fulfilment of an idea that started in 2011 with Yokora Projects, founded by  Mr Boyoyo and Mr Boita, who were born and raised in Europe with African parents originally from Equatorial Guinea, a small but promising country located on the west coast of Central Africa.

Our dream of bringing sports tradition as experienced in Europe and building upon it progressively led us to our country of origin, Equatorial Guinea. The local government understood our vision and in 2012, we got a chance to sponsor the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) hosted by Equatorial Guinea. Soccer, the most popular sport in the world, gave us a head start towards developing a new concept of availing the best sports equipment and accessories to players, be they amateurs or professionals, in their respective sports disciplines.

With the support of international brands, who want to grow in Africa through a partner that has a presence and knowledge in the market, we opened our first two shops in Equatorial Guinea and now have a presence in the whole CEMAC region (Economic Community of Central African States, formed by 6 countries: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Republic of the Congo and Gabon). In October 2019, we opened two new retail shops in Kenya and Rwanda, two of the fastest developing and promising countries in the continent.

Asanteworld is also part of our common mission, which is to create a bridge between the dreams of many Africans of becoming professionals in different sectors (sports, education, infrastructures, etc.) and the limited opportunities and chances they may have to achieve them. Another expression of this common mission is BBALP, a literacy project founded by Ms. Bisila, aimed at making education more accessible to kids in remote African areas.
